The Irish Scrabble Open, run by John Cunningham-Ryan, was held on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th June 2018, in the ever-popular venue of Hotel Curracloe in Co. Wexford.

There were 14 rated games and 27 players in the main event, and there was also a 4-game novice event on the Sunday afternoon.

A wonderful time was had by all, and the weather was beautiful with people sitting out enjoying the sun & ice-cream cones in between games.


The 2018 Cork Scrabble tournament, run by Finbarr Long, took place on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th March in the Ambassador Hotel, Cork.

The format was Open, with 13 games played over two days. We had 26 players - including a few new faces, which is always great to see.


The Wexford Scrabble Tournament, run by Mary Doyle, was held on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th November 2017 in Clayton White's Hotel in Wexford.

There was high attendance at this event, with a number of players having come from overseas, and the event was opened by the Lord Mayor of Wexford.





The All-Ireland Scrabble Championships, run by Jennie Frizelle, was held on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th September 2017 in a wonderful new venue - The Woodlands Hotel and Leisure Centre in Waterford.

There were 14 games played in an open format, with the battle for the 2017 All-Ireland Scrabbl
e Champion coming right down to the last game, between Feargal Weatherhead and Lukeman Owolabi.

Scrabble Tournament - Celtic Ross Hotel, RosscarberyThe annual one-day unrated Roscarberry Scrabble tournament, organised by Chris Broderick, took place on Saturday August 12th, 2017, in the Celtic Ross Hotel.

There were 7 games of Scrabble played, with Finbarr Long coming in first place winning all seven of his games. Full results shown below.
